Refrigerated Van Rental in Dubai — One Van That Runs Chilled or Frozen Goods Hire Today

Refrigerated van rental in Dubai gets you a partitioned cargo space running two temperatures at once: 0°C to +8°C on one side for produce, dairy and pharmacy stock, −18°C to −22°C on the other for ice cream, seafood and frozen products. One booking, one driver, one route — instead of sending a chiller van and a freezer van to the same set of drops. It costs the same per day as a single-temperature van.

We run 22 of them: 10 standard roofs and 12 high roofs, all 1 to 2 tons, from AED 400 per day. Take a refrigerated van for rent as self-drive on a valid UAE or international licence, or book it with one of our drivers. Dispatch runs 24/7.

Tell us what you’re carrying and at what temperature, and where you need it in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah — we’ll confirm the van and a fixed rate.

Why Businesses Book One Dual-Zone Van Instead of Two Vehicles

Running a chiller van and a freezer van on the same route costs you two day rates, two drivers and two schedules. Here’s what sits behind the vans that let you drop it to one.

  • A standing dual-zone fleet of 22 vans. Multi-temperature vans are 22 of our 120+ vehicles, held as a dedicated category — so a partitioned van is something you book, not something we improvise from a single-temperature unit.
  • Refrigeration handled by our own technicians. Fifteen mechanics and refrigeration technicians work on our payroll, which matters more on a dual-zone unit than a standard one: two zones means two temperature circuits to keep calibrated between rentals.
  • Food-safety standards across every van. All of our vehicles are HACCP Certified and operated to their standards, so a mixed chilled and frozen load travels in a vehicle that supports your own audit trail.
  • Drivers and dispatch whenever you need them. We’ve run cold cargo across the UAE since March 2014 with 130+ drivers and 24/7 dispatch behind the fleet.

What a Refrigerated Van Gives You That a Chiller or Freezer Van Doesn't

Four vehicles cover most cold cargo in Dubai. Read across the row that matches your load, then book the one that fits — the other three link through to their own pages.

In short: book a refrigerated van when one route carries both chilled and frozen stock. If everything you’re moving sits in a single temperature band, a chiller or freezer van costs exactly the same per day and is the simpler booking.

What a Dual-Zone Refrigerated Van Costs to Rent in Dubai

A refrigerated van rents for the same daily rate as a chiller van or a freezer van. You get two temperature zones instead of one at no premium.

Rental period
Standard roof
High roof
Daily (self-drive)AED 400AED 400
Weekly (self-drive)AED 2,000AED 2,000
Monthly (self-drive)AED 3,300AED 3,500

Adding one of our drivers: AED 100 per day on top of the self-drive rate.

Weekly bookings run at five days’ rate for seven. Monthly contracts bring the daily equivalent down to around AED 110.

Self-drive is available on a valid UAE or international licence. Bring it to the collection and the van goes out the same visit.

One van, or two?

The comparison that matters is not what a dual-zone van costs — it’s what it saves against running two vehicles on the same route.

If your chilled and frozen stock goes to the same drops, a dual-zone van halves the vehicle cost and the driver cost. If it goes to genuinely separate routes, two vans is the right call and we’ll rent you both.

Send us your chilled and frozen split, your dates and your route — you’ll have a fixed quote back the same day. The rate we confirm is the rate you’re invoiced.

Standard Roof or High Roof: Which Refrigerated Van to Book

Both roof types run the same dual-zone setup, the same temperature bands and the same daily rate. The difference is vertical space — and with a partition splitting the box in two, height matters more here than it does in a single-zone van.

Standard Roof · 10 Vans Available

The default booking for most mixed loads. Crates, cases and stacked trays across both compartments, on routes with basement bays, parking structures and height-restricted access — hotel loading docks and mall service entrances included.

Interior height:1.35 meters (135 cm / 53 inches)
Capacity: 1 to 2 ton
Rate: AED 400/day · AED 3,300/month
Book it when: your load stacks low, or your route has height limits

High Roof · 12 Vans Available

Extra vertical clearance in both zones, which is what you want when the partition has already cut your floor space in half. Upright stacking recovers the volume — taller crates, bakery trays, boxed frozen stock, floral buckets that can’t be laid down.

Interior height: 1.65 meters (165 cm / 65 inches)
Capacity: 1 to 2 ton
Rate: AED 400/day · AED 3,500/month
Book it when: your load stacks tall, or you’re filling both zones to capacity

Not sure which fits? Send us your crate dimensions and the chilled-to-frozen split and we’ll tell you which roof type holds it.

Loads Our Refrigerated Vans Handle in a Single Booking

Five situations we’re booked for regularly. If yours looks like one of these, a dual-zone van covers it in one trip.

Catering companies running prep and protein together

Salads, dressings and cut fruit need 0°C to +8°C; the frozen protein and pastry going into the same service needs −18°C. Rear zone chilled, front zone frozen, one van to the venue instead of two.

Supermarket and grocery restocks across both aisles

A restock run rarely splits neatly — dairy and fresh produce on one order, frozen ready-meals and ice cream on the next. One van covers both aisles on the same route, and the partition ratio is set to whichever side is carrying more that week.

Restaurant supply that changes by the day

Monday's delivery is mostly chilled, Thursday's is mostly frozen. The bulkhead is moveable, so on a monthly contract the split can be reset at our yard rather than swapping to a different vehicle each time your order profile shifts.

Florists and seafood traders on one rental

Cut flowers are held at the chilled end of the range; frozen seafood sits at −18°C to −22°C in the front compartment. Two products that could never share a single-zone van travel on the same booking.

Event and exhibition catering needing both zones at once

Chilled beverages, prepped platters and frozen dessert arriving at the same venue in the same window. One driver, one delivery slot, both temperature bands held from load-out to the door.

How We Set Both Zones Before Your Refrigerated Van Goes Out

Booking a dual-zone van is a five-step handover. Here’s what happens between your enquiry and the van leaving with both compartments already at temperature.

  • 1. You tell us the split at booking. How much of the load is chilled, how much is frozen, and the target temperature for each. That determines where we position the bulkhead before the van is prepared.
  • 2. The partition is set to your load. An insulated bulkhead divides the cargo box into two sealed compartments — frozen at the front, closest to the compressor where cooling power is strongest, chilled at the rear on its own evaporator.
  • 3. Both zones are pulled down before dispatch. The chilled side reaches temperature in 30 to 45 minutes; the frozen side needs 1.5 to 2 hours. We work to a two-hour pre-cool so the deep-freeze zone is fully down before loading — the van arrives cold, not cooling.
  • 4. Load frozen first, chilled second. Frozen product goes into the front compartment while the doors are shortest-open, chilled stock follows into the rear. Our drivers run this sequence as standard, and we’ll walk you through it on self-drive collections.
  • 5. The split can be changed mid-contract. The bulkhead is moveable, so the zone ratio can be reset if your load profile shifts. It takes one to two hours in our Ras Al Khor workshop with 24 to 48 hours’ notice — book it between shifts and you won’t lose a working day.

What you can’t do: run the whole van at one temperature and treat it as a full-size freezer van. Two zones means two smaller compartments — if your entire load is frozen, a freezer van gives you the full cargo space for the same daily rate.

How We Prepare a Refrigerated Van Before It Reaches You

Two zones mean two cooling circuits, and both are set to your booking rather than left on a default. The rear compartment is dialled to wherever in the 0°C to +8°C range your chilled stock needs to sit, the front to between −18°C and −22°C, and the bulkhead is positioned before either is started. Both are pulled down before the van leaves us, on a two-hour cycle timed around the frozen side because it takes the longest to reach temperature.

Every van carries a data logger, so you can take a live link during the run or a downloadable trip report afterwards showing both zones from collection to final drop. Our fifteen mechanics and refrigeration technicians service the evaporators and check the partition seals between rentals in our own workshop rather than sending units out — a dual-zone box loses temperature at the seal before it loses it anywhere else, so that check matters more here than on a single-zone van. If a unit fails mid-route, we dispatch a replacement and move the load.

Where We Deliver Refrigerated Vans Across Dubai and the UAE

Most bookings dispatch same-day from Ras Al Khor. Dual-zone vans run heaviest through the retail, hospitality and F&B areas where a single route covers both chilled and frozen drops:

Deira · Bur Dubai · Al Quoz · Business Bay · JLT and Dubai Marina · Al Barsha · Dubai Silicon Oasis · International City · Jumeirah · Downtown Dubai

Outside Dubai, we keep refrigerated vans stationed in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah so intercity bookings don’t wait on a vehicle driving down from Dubai first. Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain are covered on scheduled runs, and Al Ain on request.

FAQs

  • Is the frozen zone as cold as a dedicated freezer van?

Same band — −18°C to −22°C in both. The difference is capacity, not temperature: the partition means the frozen compartment is smaller than a full freezer van’s cargo space.

  • What licence do I need to drive a refrigerated van myself?

A standard UAE or international car licence covers a 1–2 ton van. Only our trucks require a heavy vehicle licence, so self-drive is open to most business customers.

  • Do you deliver the van to our site, or do we collect it?

The collection from Ras Al Khor is free. Site delivery to your premises is available for a flat fee within city limits, and with-driver bookings arrive at your loading point at no extra charge.

  • Is my cargo insured during the rental?

The vehicle is insured; your goods are not. Cargo cover is your own arrangement, which is standard across UAE vehicle rental — worth confirming with your insurer before a high-value load.

  • What's the shortest booking you take?

One day, with no minimum contract. Bear in mind both zones need two hours of pre-cooling before collection, so same-day bookings are confirmed around that window.

  • Can I book a refrigerated van without knowing the exact split yet?

Yes. Give us your best estimate at booking and we’ll set the partition to it — the ratio can be adjusted later at our yard with 24 to 48 hours’ notice.
