Our freezer trucks run −18°C to −25°C, and the lower half of that band is there for a reason. −18°C is the storage ceiling for most frozen food — the warmest a product should ever get, not the temperature it should travel at. Ice cream and frozen desserts soften and re-crystallise before they reach it, which is what turns a smooth product gritty by the time it’s on the shelf. Deep-frozen seafood and blast-frozen meat leave the cold store well below −18°C, and warming them in transit costs you texture, drip loss, and shelf life you can’t recover.
Route length matters as much as the product. Every door opening on a multi-drop run pulls warm Dubai air into the box, and a truck already sitting at its ceiling has nowhere to give. Starting at −25°C buys headroom, so the load is still inside spec at the eighth drop rather than only the first. What documents do I need to rent a self-drive?
Companies: trade licence, Emirates ID and passport copy of the authorised signatory, plus the driver’s UAE heavy vehicle licence. Individuals: heavy licence, Emirates ID and residency visa. Returning accounts just send the driver’s licence.
Who pays for fuel, Salik and mileage?
Fuel is full-to-full. Salik and Darb are billed at cost, itemised on your invoice. Daily hires include 300 km; monthly contracts 6,000 km, with unlimited mileage available on long-term contracts.
Can I book a freezer truck for one day?
Yes, from AED 450 with no minimum contract. We don’t run half-day or hourly self-drive rates — pre-cooling and sanitisation take a full dispatch cycle. Fixed single-trip pricing is available with a driver.
Do you deliver the truck, or do we collect it?
Collection from our Ras Al Khor yard is free. Site delivery to your loading dock costs AED 150–250 within city limits. With-driver bookings arrive pre-chilled at your bay at no extra charge.
Does the driver help load and unload?
Drivers operate the tail lift, position pallets on it and strap the load. They don’t hand-unload or stack. Bring your own bay labour or forklift operator for anything beyond that.
