Refrigerated Truck Rental in Dubai for Frozen and Chilled Logistics - Hire Today

Chiller Van Service provides refrigerated truck rental in Dubai for loads where the pallets don’t share a temperature. An insulated bulkhead divides the cargo body into two independent compartments — frozen on one side at −18°C to −22°C, chilled on the other at 0°C to +8°C — so a supermarket replenishment run or a multi-outlet distribution route moves on one truck instead of two.

We run four of them across 5 to 15 tons, from AED 570 per day, with rates that drop sharply on monthly contracts. Take a refrigerated truck for rent as self-drive on a heavy vehicle licence, or with one of our own drivers. The zone split is set to your load before the truck leaves us, and both compartments are pre-cooled before you load.

Send us your pallet count and the frozen-to-chilled split — we’ll confirm the truck and a fixed monthly rate.

Is a Dual-Compartment Truck the Right Fit for Your Operations?

A dual-compartment truck carries two temperatures at once, separated by an insulated wall inside the cargo body. It costs more per day than a single-temperature truck, so it’s worth the money in some operations and not in others. Four situations where it pays for itself:

  • You’re delivering frozen and chilled stock to the same outlets on the same run.
Ice cream and frozen product in one compartment, dairy and fresh produce in the other, both arriving at the same door on the same drop.
  • You’re currently sending two trucks down one route because the temperatures don’t mix.
Two vehicles, two drivers, two sets of fuel and Salik on identical drops. One dual-compartment truck collapses that into a single run.
  • Your frozen-to-chilled ratio shifts week to week and you need the split to move with it.
A heavier frozen week followed by a heavier chilled one doesn’t need a different vehicle — the partition position is set to whatever the load requires.
  • You’re loading pallets at ground level and need a tail lift rather than a dock.
Most Dubai industrial and retail sites load from the ground. Our medium trucks carry a tail lift so pallets go on and off without a raised bay.
  • When it isn’t the right truck. If everything you’re moving sits in a single temperature band, a chiller truck or a freezer truck gives you the full cargo body for less money — the partition would only cost you the space you’re paying for. And if your load is under four pallets, a dual-zone van does the same two-temperature job at van scale for a fraction of the rate.

How the Pallets Divide Between the Two Compartments

The bulkhead locks into fixed track positions spaced in pallet increments. Here's how each truck divides at the three positions we set most often.

Chilled-heavy
5-ton5 4 frozen / 1 chilled3 frozen / 2 chilled2 frozen / 3 chilled
7-ton75 frozen / 2 chilled4 frozen / 3 chilled2 frozen / 5 chilled
10-ton107 frozen / 3 chilled5 frozen / 5 chilled 3 frozen / 7 chilled
15-ton1410 frozen / 4 chilled7 frozen / 7 chilled4 frozen / 10 chilled

Standard pallets at 120 × 100 cm. On Euro pallets at 120 × 80 cm, add one to two slots per truck.

Cargo box lengths: 5.2 m on the 5-ton, 6.2 m on the 7-ton, 7.5 m on the 10-ton, 8.8 m on the 15-ton.

Frozen loads at the front, chilled at the rear. The nose-mounted refrigeration unit cools the front compartment directly to −18°C to −22°C; the rear runs 0°C to +8°C on a secondary evaporator drawing regulated airflow through the bulkhead. Frozen pallets go in first, the partition is closed, then chilled pallets load into the rear.

Changing the split mid-contract. The bulkhead slides along ceiling rails to a new lock position — 1.5 to 2 hours at our Ras Al Khor yard with 24 to 48 hours’ notice. On monthly contracts, adjustments between shift cycles are free.

One pallet is the cost of the partition. A dual-compartment 10-ton takes 10 standard pallets where a single-compartment freezer truck takes 11 to 12, because the insulated wall and its airflow gaps occupy floor space. Worth knowing before you book.

What a Refrigerated Truck Costs on Contract

Monthly contracts carry the lowest rate per day and are how most of these trucks are booked. Weekly and daily hire are available on the same vehicles.

Monthly

7-tonAED 11,500AED 383/day
10-tonAED 14,500AED 483/day
15-tonAED 18,500AED 617/day

Minimum term is one month. On contracts of six months or longer, partition repositioning is free, mileage is unlimited, and vehicle branding is available.

Weekly

Weekly
5-tonAED 3,480
7-tonAED 4,320
10-tonAED 5,520

7-tonAED 720
10-tonAED 920
15-tonAED 1,200

All rates are self-drive. Adding one of our drivers is AED 120 per day on the 5-ton, AED 150 on the 7 and 10-ton, and AED 200 on the 15-ton.

On a monthly contract, a 10-ton dual-compartment truck runs at AED 483 a day — less than a single chiller truck and a single freezer truck booked separately for the same route.

Three Operations We Run These Trucks For

Supermarket and hypermarket replenishment

Frozen aisle and chilled aisle restocked off one delivery instead of two scheduled slots. A 10-ton on the balanced split carries 5 pallets frozen and 5 chilled, which covers a mid-size store's weekly restock in a single drop. Most of these runs start from cold stores in Al Quoz and Ras Al Khor.

Food distributor multi-outlet runs

Twelve or fifteen outlets on one route, each taking a mix of frozen and chilled cases off the same truck. The frozen-heavy split suits distributors whose volume sits in frozen product, with the rear compartment covering dairy and fresh lines. Common on routes out of Jebel Ali and JAFZA into the city.

Contract and event catering at volume

Frozen protein and pastry in the front compartment, prepped chilled stock in the rear, both arriving at the venue in the same window. The 15-ton takes 7 pallets a side on the balanced setting, which covers large-format catering without a second vehicle. Runs regularly to Dubai World Trade Centre, Expo City and hotel venues along Sheikh Zayed Road.

Loading, Access and What the Driver Handles

Both compartments have their own access. The rear roll-up door opens into the chilled section, and a side door reaches the frozen front compartment directly — so a frozen drop doesn’t mean opening the whole body and warming the chilled stock behind it. On a fifteen-outlet run that difference compounds across every stop.

The 5, 7 and 10-ton trucks carry a tail lift, which is what most Dubai industrial and retail sites need since they load from ground level rather than a raised dock. The 15-ton loads dock-level. Frozen pallets go into the front compartment first, the bulkhead is closed, and chilled pallets load into the rear behind it.

Both circuits are pulled down before the truck leaves us, on a two-hour cycle timed around the frozen side because it takes the longest to reach temperature. Our fifteen in-house mechanics and refrigeration technicians check both evaporators and the bulkhead seals between rentals — a dual-compartment body loses temperature at the partition before it loses it anywhere else.

Drivers operate the tail lift, position pallets on it and secure the load. Hand-unloading, stacking and warehouse handling are yours to cover, so bring bay labour or a forklift operator if the site needs it.

Booking Terms

Self-drive requires a valid UAE heavy vehicle licence covering the tonnage you’re booking — a car licence won’t cover any truck in this fleet, so if your driver holds one, take the with-driver option instead. Company bookings need a trade licence, plus Emirates ID and passport copy of the authorised signatory, alongside the driver’s licence. Accounts already on file skip the paperwork and send the driver’s licence with the job order.

A refundable deposit is held on self-drive bookings: AED 1,500 on the 5-ton, AED 2,500 on the 7 and 10-ton, and AED 3,500 on the 15-ton. It’s released within 14 to 21 working days of return, and waived in full on monthly contracts for UAE-registered companies with an active trade licence.

Fuel is full-to-full. Salik is billed at cost and itemised line by line on the invoice, never bundled into a round number. Daily hires include 300 km, monthly contracts 6,000 km, and long-term contracts of six months or more run unlimited.

Both compartments are logged throughout the rental, so you have a temperature record for each zone from collection to final drop — available as a live link during the run or a downloadable report afterwards. If a refrigeration circuit fails mid-route we dispatch a replacement truck and transfer the load, with the zone split matched to what you were already running.

Book Your Refrigerated Truck For Rent in Dubai Today

Send us your pallet count and the frozen-to-chilled split. We’ll confirm the truck size, set the partition to your load, and come back with a fixed rate the same day. From AED 580 a day self-drive, or AED 9,200 a month with the rate working out at AED 307 a day. Tail lift on the 5, 7 and 10-ton, our own drivers available on every truck.

Four dual-compartment trucks in the fleet, one of them the 15-ton. They run on contract more often than not, so if your dates are fixed, reserve early — and allow 24 to 48 hours if the partition needs repositioning before collection.
